At Pretty Fluffy, we’ll always have a soft spot for dogs, a bit of creativity, and anything that feels a little nostalgic. So this shoot was an easy favorite.
We’ve always leaned toward the original Star Wars films. There’s just something about them that still feels right. While new versions keep coming out, we tend to go back to the classics. That said, this take might be one of the cutest we’ve seen.

A Different Kind of Star Wars Story
There’s no big production here. No effects, no dramatic scenes. Just a dachshund dressed as Chewbacca and a couple of kids stepping into their roles. It’s simple and that’s exactly why it works.
The idea is playful, but it never feels overdone. It leaves room for personality to come through, which is what makes pet photography interesting in the first place.
The Work Behind the Lens
This series comes from Cuije Photos. Their work has a relaxed feel to it, even when the concept is a bit more styled. Nothing feels too controlled or forced, which makes the final images feel more natural.
It’s a good reminder that you don’t need a complicated setup to create something memorable. A simple idea and the right timing can go a long way.
Why It Works
Dressing up your dog can be hit or miss, but when it’s done in a way that keeps things comfortable and light, it becomes part of the fun rather than the focus.
That’s really what stands out here. The costumes add something, but they don’t take over. The personality is still what carries each image.
A Little Inspiration
If you’ve been thinking about doing a themed shoot, this is a good place to start. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to feel natural.
Grab a simple costume, pick up your camera, and see what happens. Sometimes those easy, unplanned moments are the ones you end up keeping.
