Did you fall in love the Baloo the Newfypoo featured in our Pet Friendly Home Tour last week?
Well get ready to fall head over heels, because Baloo’s owner, Annika Mieling, is back to share Baloo’s all time favourite homemade dog treat recipe: DIY Chicken Strip Dog Treats.
Free Range Chicken Breast (One is more than enough)
1. Slice the fresh chicken breast in very thin strips (the thinner the better).
2. Cover a baking sheet with baking parchment and place the chicken strips on it. Put them into a cold oven and heat to 300 Grad F (150 C). Cook for 1 hour.
3. Reduce the temperature to 210F (100C) and crack the oven door open to allow the moisture to escape. Leave the chicken strips in the oven for another 1.5 – 2 hours then remove.
4. Allow the chicken strips to dry over night at room temperature. Store the chicken strips in a zip lock bag or similar and serve as required!
