How brands get listed

We research every brand carefully before it goes on this page, looking at what they make, how they make it, what their customers say, and whether it is something we would be comfortable pointing a reader towards. Brands come to our attention through our own work, through reader suggestions, and through brands approaching us directly. Some listings and links here are paid or commission-earning, which is what keeps the site free to read. You can read exactly how that works in our full disclosure.

Using the directory

• Pick a category above to see every brand we list in it.
• Each card carries a short note on what the brand is good at, a link straight through to their shop, and their social accounts if you would rather look at photos first.
• Several brands offer Pretty Fluffy readers a discount. Where one exists, the code sits in the brand’s description on the category page.
• Each category page also has a short buying guide at the bottom, covering sizing, materials, and the mistakes worth avoiding before you spend anything.

Know a brand we should add?

We add to this list all year, and reader suggestions are where a good number of these came from. If you make something for dogs, or you have found something you cannot stop recommending, get in touch. Some listings and links here are paid or commission-earning: full disclosure.
