Dogs + Coffee by Chantal Levesque Photo
I love a dog friendly cafe – there’s something about coffee, baked goods and cute puppies all in the one spot that makes me smile!
So when I saw this session of a Frenchie in a hip new coffee shop by Chantal Levesque Photo I knew it had warm fuzzies written all over it.
Prepare yourself for cute overload…
Tommy’s is a hip new coffee shop in Old Montreal.
With it’s open space, historic architecture, eclectic decor and huge windows, no wonder it is one of the most intagrammed coffee shops in the city.
And the best thing about this place is you can bring your dog inside (very uncommon thing in this city!)
So of course when the opportunity to take portraits of a dog in this spot came around I jumped on the occasion.
A French Bulldog was the perfect fit for this location; urban pooch, stylish and small in size which would be easier in the busy coffee shop.
Enka, the 8 month old Frenchie walked in like she owned the place.
With her compact stature, bright brown eyes, she made heads turn. She was a little shy but oh so curious and charming.
Each time we took a break from shooting and I kneeled down to have a look at images on my camera… she would cuddle next to me and sometimes give me a small lick on the cheek.
Enka was the perfect model! Given all the attention she was getting she was very calm and would stay still for as long as needed.
She would look at me with her puppy eyes as if to get approval or ask permission to change positions.
She did not like the stairs though!
