What’s New! PawBag

Looking for a fab new way to pamper your pooch every month? PawBag is a brand new subscription just for dogs. Similar to the ever popular BirchBox, PawBag allows your dog to have new and exciting products delivered direct to your door. Yep – each month you get a selections of doggie heaven – ranging from toys, to treats, accessories and grooming products. The fabulous difference is that with PawBag the contents are hand picked full sized products just for your furry friend – no sample sizes, just genuine goodies.

From the creator, Cesare:
I’ve always loved pets. I’ve been fortunate to live all over the world and I’ve seen a lot of the amazing products available for them. My idea for Paw Bag came out of this desire to discover and curate the most interesting pet items for my friends and their pets.

Paw Bag is like having a personal shopper for your pooch. We not only source the best products available overseas that pet owners can’t get their hands on easily, we also seek out smaller local businesses that most people haven’t heard of. Whether you’re looking to try out the latest and greatest products or spoil a special pup you know, Paw Bags are the hassle free way to treat your dog.

The first Paw Bag go out this month – sign up for an annual subscription and you and your pet will receive really interesting, fun and useful products to enjoy every two months. Alternatively buy a single bag as a present for that someone that has everything or as a birthday present or gift for your best mate.

Sounds exciting? You bet! Each PawBag contains over twice to three times the retail value of products inside and it even comes in eco-friendly packaging. The PawBag itself is resuable and recyclable, and the delivery box turns into a dog mask for any little ones you may have! (Who in all fairness may be upset that the dog is getting so many presents!) Who needs a better excuse to start pampering your pooch on a regular basis?

New! Cuddle & Play Wool Toys from FitDog

What do you look for when toy shopping for your dog? I like to combine a mix of the interactive, to keep Soda’s mind and body stimulated, and the cute, just for the awww factor. So when the eco friendly dog boutique FitDog were kind enough to send through 3 of their new Cuddle & Play Wool Toys for Soda to trial I was impressed on all levels.

The cuddle and play wool toys are naturally made from 100% New Zealand wool, through a process called “felting” which involves agitating hand-dyed wool with soap and water until the desired shape is formed – such as a mushroom, ring toss, or oh-so-cute elephant! Handmade by trained artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal, the toys are non toxic, completely biodegradable and washable – good for your dog and for the planet. The BEST part? They have no polyester filling inside, which means no coming home to an artificial snowstorm on your lawn.

My favourite pick was easily the adorable elephant – possibly one of the cutest dog toys I have ever seen, however Soda could not get enough of the Ringzee toy. She literally stole the toy in the middle of the photo shoot and kept it with her for the duration of the afternoon. It’s safe to say all three were a real hit and I can report that days of rough play later all are looking as good as new. Seriously how many dog toys can you say that about?

I just love the idea of Soda having a safe, sweet and colourful toy to play with that is ethically sourced and good for the environment. And Soda? Well she just cares about having fun. Looks like all the boxes have been ticked!

The cuddle and play Wool Toys come in a range of colours (pink elephants and purple mushrooms anyone?) and retail for just $14.95. For the full range and to purchase visit the FitDog Website.
