‘Too Glamorous’ Swarovski Collars by DOGUE

When I’m picking dog accessories I always look for quality, beautiful pieces that will stand the test of time. So undoubtably I’ve been absolutely smitten by the gorgeous ‘Too Glamorous’ Collar by the Australian brand DOGUE. You see for me, I’m always a bit hesitant to bring bling into Soda’s world, because too often the glitter goes a bit too far and Soda ends up resembling a Las Vegas showgirl rather than a Border Collie. But I do like a a bit of sparkle, so I love it when a quality piece is combined with all that glitters. And when that glitter is genuine Swarovski crystals you have me sold. Two iconic brands coming together on a dog collar? It doesn’t get much better than that.

The DOGUE ‘Too Glamorous’ Collars are the perfect pick for a much loved pooch. They feature soft New Zealand leather and are hand crafted in Australia. But easily the best part is they feature two solid rows of Swarovski crystals, each coming with the Swarovski guarantee of quality and authenticity. No cheap replicas or tacky bling here – this collar is the real deal for luxe pooches.

The range comes in four sizes and five stylish colours allowing every dog – no matter what shape or size – to find a piece they’ll love. Just clickety click to their EXCLUSIVE STORE just for Pretty Fluffy readers and you’ll have a glamour dog of your very own! And just so you know what you’re looking for – here’s my cheat sheet for picking a collar your dog will love…

1. FIT: You need to always ensure you can fit two fingers between your dog’s collar and their neck. this ensures they can’t slip out of the collar easily, but also that it is not on too tight causing any discomfort or breathing/eating problems. Look for adjustable buckles (seen here on the ‘Too Glamourous’ Collar) and quality craftsmanship.

2. MATERIAL: You always need to choose a sturdy material to maximise safety and comfort. I gravitate towards leather and fabric options because I believe they offer the most comfortable fit for your pooch and they are long wearing and durable.

3. PERSONALITY: I’m a big believer in using your dog’s collar to show off their individuality. No, the dog park’s not a fashion show, but with so many colours and designs out there why not have a bit of fun with it! Add a bit of sparkle!

To view the full range head on over the the DOGUE Website & Online Store.

And don’t forget – for the whole month of May, Dogue is offering 20% OFF their entire leather collar range – including the ‘Too Glamorous’ Collar. For Pretty Fluffy readers ONLY. Just click through THIS LINK or on the ad above in the right hand column and it will take you through to the 20% OFF Collar range. There are some serious savings to be had, making it no better time than now to add a bit of glamour to your dog’s day!

Famous Fluffy: Shaynna Blaze & Coco

I’m so excited about today’s post, because I can say with 100% certainty that this celebrity is an absolute sweetheart. Many of you would recognise Shaynna Blaze as the co-host and interior designer for Selling Houses Australia, but tonight she takes on a new role as Judge on the 2012 series of The Block. I first met Shaynna years ago when we both worked on the first series of Selling Houses Australia and her talents have blown me away ever since. I have to admit, I’ve worked with my fair share of television hosts and Shaynna is second to none for the hard work, inspired thinking and heart she puts into every project. This is one lady with an amazing sense of style, fashion and fun. And did I mention she has a Border Collie named Coco? Let’s steal their style…

New from Puppylocks!

Looking for a dog accessory that’s stylish, beautiful and fun? I’ve got one word for you Pretty Fluffies. Puppylocks. Now you may have heard of Puppylocks, or seen some of their adorable models popping up on Pinterest, but I’m here to share with you today some new additions to their range that allow every dog to be a Puppylocks pooch!

Puppylocks feather fur extensions are the second product launched by hair stylist extraordinaires, Condition Culture. Not long after Donya & Alex Litowitz, twin sisters from Miami, launched Featherlocks, the world’s leading brand of feather hair extensions, Donya attached some feathers to her beloved dog Stella’s beautiful coat. Stella quickly became the rockstar of Lincoln Road on Miami Beach; people everywhere stopped and asked, “Where did she get her feathers?!” And Puppylocks was born. So now you know what Puppylocks are – here’s how your dog can join the trend:

1. FULL PUPPYLOCKS EXTENSIONS. Using the same unobtrusive attachment method as Featherlocks (attaching the feathers to the fur using a microbead), Puppylocks are simple to apply, can last months, and are easily removed and reused. Handmade and chemical free, they can be washed and dried with your dog’s coat without losing their integrity or luster.
SUITABLE FOR: Dogs with long, fluffy coats that are groomed daily.

2. PUPPYCLIPS. Puppylocks’ clips can be easily taken in and out of your pet’s hair for the same effect as Puppylocks but without the application commitment. Just like a sneaky Saturday night hair extension, the Puppyclips can add a bit of colour to your pooch with no long term hassle.
SUITABLE FOR: Dogs with medium to long coats wanting a no commitment accessory.

3. COLLAR CHARMS. The latest in the Puppylocks collection, these new Collar Charms were created by Puppylocks especially for the short haired dogs amongst us! These beautiful charms are a great way to accessorise any dog and are at the perfect length as to not irritate your furry friend – they won’t even know it’s there.
SUITABLE FOR: All dogs looking for a fun fashion statement!

So there you have it! Puppylocks for everyone! I’m thinking of rocking some of my own Featherlocks with some matching Puppylocks for Soda – what do you think?

All product lines are available at the Puppylocks Website or at your local groomer or retailer which can be found at Condition Culture’s groomer locator.
