BB and CC creams are the bomb. The Blemish/Beauty Balms (BB) and Colour Correcting (CC) creams have had everyone crazed for the past year – and with good reason. They’re lightweight, even out your skin tone like nobodies business and have a bunch of hidden qualities that work on improving the quality of your skin on a daily basis. The only problem? So many of the super popular BB & CC creams are tested on animals. Animals as smart and adorable as this guy.

But we can’t have you not enjoying the BB/CC ride, so today I’ve rounded up 6 Cruelty Free BB & CC Creams that are indeed awesome and I insist you try today.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As of December 2013, both Stila and Boscia have submitted to compulsory animal testing to sell their products in China. Sadly this means they are no longer cruelty free. We hope they return to their cruelty free stance soon!

Tarte BB Tinted Treatment
This 12 hour primer with SPF 30 (a MUST in Australia) is one of the most loved BB creams around. This beauty comes in 4 shades and an eco friendly tube. CLICK TO BUY: Tarte BB Tinted Treatment

Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth™ CC Crème Broad
Now that we’re talking CC creams they don’t get much better than this. This baby is as smart as she is good lookin’. SPF 30 coverage along with antioxidants and other nourishing ingredients work on diminishing dark spots, unevenness, redness, fine lines and skin damage all while keeping your face glowy and gleaming on a daily basis. Comes in two shades. CLICK TO BUY: Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth™ CC Crème Broad

Stila Stay All Day 10-In-One HD Illuminating Beauty Balm
While the name is a mouthful, this BB cream is all about illumination. Reviews are going crazy for this one, with claims including “a lit from within glow”, “a dewey, luminous finish” and “terrible at doing the dishes.”* One downside is it only comes in one shade which word on the street is best for fair-medium skinned lasses. * First two real reviews from Sephora, last one not so much.

Lorac CC Color Correcting Cream
The tint in this CC cream is all about color correction – making perfect for those with redness, pigmentation and imperfections. Natural aloe, chamomile, calendula, and white peony are added to soothe the skin for a radiating effect. 3 shades available from light to tan. CLICK TO BUY: Lorac CC Color Correcting Cream

boscia B.B. Cream
For a nourishing a flawless finish you can’t go past boscia’s BB cream. Known for their preservative-free, botanically-based approach to skincare, their oil free formula is perfect for those prone to breakouts or discolouration. It comes in one shade (which is darker than most, so maybe spray tan it up if you’re fair) and is free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates. Phew  – that sentence was like my own personal spelling bee! CLICK TO BUY: boscia B.B. Cream

Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm
