DIY 2nd Wedding Anniversary Cotton Gift Bag

Remember a couple of months ago when I featured those gorgeous pet portraits by Two Brunettes? Well sneaky little me didn’t let you all in on the fact that I had actually ordered one as a gift for my husband for our second wedding anniversary – which is today!! But in here lied my conundrum – your second wedding anniversary is actually meant to be a cotton gift. My answer? I created these super cute personalised cotton gift bags. Perfect for packaging up any 2nd anniversary present your heart desires! Scroll down for details and the free download…
To create your own gift bag just simply download the free Pretty Fluffy gift bag template below and print on to transfer paper (available at craft/linen stores, I got mine at Spotlight). If you have a sewing machine handy, whip up some cotton drawstring bags – if not purchase some plain ones (I got mine from MadeIt). Then simply grab your iron and iron on the transfer, making sure to apply enough pressure and heat evenly to ensure the pattern transfers successfully. And voila! The perfect wrapping for your 2nd Anniversary pressie.

Doesn’t Soda look ADORABLE in her portrait? When I saw these pet portraits I knew it would make the perfect gift for our anniversary. After meeting and getting married, my husband has always treated Soda like his own, so a portrait featuring Soda carrying both our surnames was the icing on the cake – we’re all one happy ‘Faber Nelson’ family now!

PS. Stay tuned – I have a super fun DIY Halloween project coming up for our four legged and furry friends later in the week!
