You MUST try this… Doggelganger

I know, I know…I’m on a ‘break’. Let’s just treat this break like the one Ross and Rachel had on Friends OK? Because I simply must share this with you! Those crazy New Zealand kids just across the pond from me have come up with one of the coolest inventions. It’s called the Doggelganger. To use it is simple: upload a snazzy photo of yourself and using it’s fancy schmancy software it will find your canine doppelganger. Here’s the gorgeous boy that I got matched with. While Turbo’s eyes and nose are much more adorable than mine I must say, I do share his zest for life – “I love people and getting lots of cuddles.”

What’s all this for? Well every doggelganger is actually a sweet pup looking for a fur-ever home. Created in conjunction with Pedigree it’s all part of their adoption drive to find these gorgeous girls and boys safe and happy homes. I’m certainly going to be sharing my match in the hope this little guy finds his new family.

A ‘Limited Edition’ Friday Fluffy

Remember Baby, Chad, Delan and Chicka? Well these gorgeous guys from Sydney Cats & Dogs Home that you saw on Pretty Fluffy weeks ago are just a few of the beautiful dogs photographed for ‘Limited Edition’. This super successful mission to prevent the unnecessary euthanasia of healthy domestic pets has been running for the last little while and you have until Monday to be part of it!

From the Sydney Cats and Dogs Home:
To help raise funds and create awareness of this cause The Sydney Cats & Dogs Home invited 21 of Australia’s top photographers to photograph 3 animals from the Home each. The photographers were asked to bring out the personality of each animal. And just like the animals at the Home, each print is unique. All prints are signed 1 of 1 by the artist.

As a friend and supporter of the Home, I was so happy to see this initiative launched, but even more pleased to see the success it has become. There is nothing better than scrolling through these beeeeauuutiful photos and seeing a little ‘Adopted’ sticker. This stuff just warms the heart.

You can help by bidding on one of the 63 posters or by adopting one of the dogs and cats from the Home. Remember you only have until Monday, so do take some time out this weekend to check it out.
